Dr. Hazel earned his Ph.D. from Washington State University after living in Japan for eight years. In addition to his teaching experience in the United States, he taught for six years at Immaculate Heart College in southern Japan. His areas of interest include organizational communication, communication theory, research methods, communication apprehension, and intercultural and interpersonal communication.
