July 12-16, 2021
IMPORTANT NOTE: Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the university is unable to offer overnight housing on campus. Therefore, the Institute will operate as a day program this year. Participants will need transportation to and from campus for each day of the Institute.
The Francis Youth Institute is working with the University to determine whether we can gather in-person from July 12th to 16th on campus. If an in-person experience is possible, it will entail adhering to gathering size limits, masking, physical distance requirements, testing, and quarantine policies and strategies. In the event that an in-person experience is not feasible this summer, the Institute is committed to providing a week-long digital experience to all that sign up. We should know whether or not an in-person event will be feasible by June 1st. We are planning for a cohort of 15 youth this summer and can guarantee those spots on a first come first serve basis. After June 1st we will let all sign-ups know whether they have secured a spot and whether or not we will be planning for an in-person experience.
The Francis Youth Institute for Theology and Leadership brings high school juniors and seniors to Gonzaga University for a week of exploring nature in the Inland Northwest, studying theology with Gonzaga faculty, and praying together in community. Find your purpose, live your faith, and become the kind of leader the world needs now at FYI Gonzaga!
