2021 Award: Kohls Award for Philosophy
Major: Philosophy and Economics
Hometown: Boise, ID
Extracurricular activities: I do policy debate for Gonzaga and am a debate coach for elementary and middle schoolers. I also host a potluck every week with all my friends. (:
Future plans:
I want to be a philosophy professor.
How has your major contributed to your professional or personal development?
I find it really enriching that philosophy requires people to try to understand diverse worldviews while simultaneously teaching/equipping them with the skills to question and defend their own perspectives. Doing philosophy thus empowers me to always try to know myself, others, and the world better than I think I do.
What has been your proudest or most significant accomplishment during your Gonzaga career?
I am really proud to have been published and listed as a contributor to a textbook developed by the Gonzaga Institute for Hate Studies for case study analysis and research I did on how to combat white supremacy.
