Engineering Management

Leaders equipped to handle rapidly-changing technology

A degree in engineering management prepares you for a wide range of career paths and opportunities in project management and supervision, product development, production planning and processes, engineering design and manufacturing, technical sales and marketing, and a wide spectrum of other positions in practically any industry.

Engineering management professionals understand the practice and concepts of engineering, and they know how to build and manage teams to address the engineering challenges of today.

Our engineering management program combines the study of engineering with courses from Gonzaga’s School of Business Administration. You’ll receive a broad engineering education while developing leadership, project management, and fundamental business skills to solve problems, meet deadlines and manage budgets and resources. You’ll grow your technical knowledge as well as your ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical team members.

Companies that have recently hired our graduates include:
  • Google
  • Intel
  • Boeing
  • Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories
  • Michels Corporation - Directional Crossings
  • KeyTronic
  • Staples Construction
  • Medtronic
  • Whiting-Turner

In addition to general engineering coursework, students take a set of technical electives from one of five tracks:

  • Civil engineering
  • Computer engineering
  • Electrical engineering
  • Mechanical engineering
  • Computer science
