AmeriCorps Positions

2021-2022 AmeriCorps Applications

The Center for Community Engagement is hiring AmeriCorps members for the 2021-2022 academic year to support Youth Programs and community engagement efforts including the Zag Volunteer Corps program. See below for details about each position. 

The Campus Kitchen Americorps position will support food recovery and meal service to food insecure individuals and families in the Spokane community in addition to providing nutrition education opportunities to youth in Northeast Spokane. Contact: Emily banick@gonzaga.edu.

The Community Outreach AmeriCorps position will support campus-community partnerships and project development in connection with Opportunity Northeast, an initiative focused on improving opportunities and outcomes for children, youth, and families in the neighborhoods of Northeast Spokane. The AmeriCorps member will be involved with the Logan House, the Opportunity Northeast Summer Fellows, food security initiatives, and other place-based work. Questions or want to learn more? The Elementary Youth Programs AmeriCorps position will support youth mentoring programs and partnerships concentrated in Northeast Spokane and elementary schools neighboring Gonzaga University. The AmeriCorps members will support program quality, youth and families, and the growth and development of the university students that run programming.

The Secondary Youth Programs AmeriCorps position will support youth mentoring programs and partnerships concentrated in Northeast Spokane and two middle schools and one high school neighboring Gonzaga University. The AmeriCorps members will support program quality, youth and families, and the growth and development of the university students that run programming.
