Why are you in admissions at Gonzaga?
Throughout my undergraduate career, I had supportive staff and mentors who helped me to be successful and overcome challenges. As I work towards my own personal goals/career, I desire to give back to my surrounding communities and be that support system that students need as they go through their undergraduate career. I enjoy being able to mentor and pass on skills and knowledge that I have gained and empower others the way I have been empowered.
What is your favorite place on campus?
My favorite place on campus is the right corner leading to the ballroom entrance on the third floor of Hemmingson. That specific area has rocking chairs that face the soccer field, it is a quiet and relaxing area. Another plus, I am able to look out to the city center of Spokane and appreciate the view.
What is your favorite thing to do in Spokane?
My favorite thing to do in Spokane is to try and explore new food locations or iconic Spokane restaurants like Clinkerdagger or Franks Diner. I appreciate good food and every location I have explored has unique dishes that have me coming back. On top of that it allows me to explore different regions within the city of Spokane.
What is one piece of advice you have for prospective students?
Don’t be afraid to take risks, many times we could be missing out on awesome opportunities. I took the risk of attending a university in a big city where I didn’t know anyone and it became the greatest experience and 4 years of my life.
